Before our lesson with Kelly we had a little brainstorm with Tom and came up with a few ideas around the theme which is Circus. We came up with having a dark side to circus shown which we then discussed in detail with Kelly. We got into small groups and researched characters that are famous when it comes to the circus. This was a very interesting task and I found out a lot that I didn't already know. Characters such as; bearded ladies, knife throwers, tightrope walkers, clowns, animal tamers etc showed up. Our idea was to have an evil ring master/ ring mistress that treated all of the acts terribly. This is a side to the circus that is not usually shown, so we decided to highlight it.
Immediately, I knew that nobody in my class would want to embarrass themselves by being the bearded lady, so what did I do? I volunteered to be the bearded lady. After this lesson, Kelly told us that she would make a script for us and take our ideas into account.
